Deep South first opened the doors of its Georgia office in September, 1995. Since then it has experienced steady growth in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This success has come from the distribution of our products through Deep South appointed independent agents and brokers.

Deep South is a select market for preferred commercial auto, general liability, garage, property, and inland marine accounts. We specialize in a broad range of commercial auto classes including local contract hauling, construction, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, garage, and service industries, to name a few.

Agents and insureds are well served by Deep South’s specialized underwriting for monoline accounts, multiline accounts, and quick turnaround opportunities.  We have an experienced underwriting team and pride ourselves on local underwriting authority and decision making. We are problem solvers and solutions oriented, which enables us to provide creative solutions to the customer’s most challenging needs. In addition, Deep South can provide both admitted (Redland) and non-admitted (QBE Specialty) solutions, which gives us the flexibility to provide you with the competitive pricing and comprehensive coverages that fit your needs.

Deep South is staffed with experienced in-house Loss Control Engineers who personally inspect each account written by Deep South at the inception of the policy. Their many years of experience in evaluating commercial auto risks, enables our Loss Control Engineers to offer on-site recommendations to assist the insured in managing their risk. Additional services can be provided during the policy term including driver training and participation in safety meetings.

Deep South has an in-house Claims Department focused upon rapid resolution of each claims incident. The Claims department excels in providing top quality claims administration to our insureds through an innovative claims philosophy. We have experienced Claims Adjusters in the field actively working with the insureds after a loss, many times at the scene of the accident. The majority of claims submitted to Deep South are resolved and closed within the same policy year.
