About Our Georgia Office

Deep South first opened the doors of our Georgia office in September, 1995. Since then we have experienced steady growth and now have more than 25 employees supporting agent needs in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The agency base for our Atlanta office is comprised of over 300 independent agencies.

Deep South is a full service office providing marketing, underwriting, policy processing, loss control, premium audit, and claims handling. Our staff is well qualified with many years of experience in servicing commercial insurance products.

Deep South is a select market for preferred commercial auto, general liability, garage, property and inland marine accounts. We specialize in a broad range of commercial auto classes including local delivery, truckers, artisan contractors, retailers, manufacturers, garage and service vehicles, to name a few.

Agents and insureds are served well by Deep South’s specialized underwriting units for monoline accounts, package accounts and Quick Quote services. Our underwriting team averages 25 years of multi-line insurance experience and is comprised of career insurance professionals focused on the industry and exposures unique to the Southeast.

Deep South is also staffed with professional Loss Control Engineers averaging 22 years experience in the insurance industry. A staff Loss Control Engineer personally inspects each account written by Deep South at the inception of the policy. Further services can be provided during the policy term including driver training and participation in safety meetings.

Deep South has an in-house Claims Department. Regardless of the accident location, Deep South claims staff handles all losses for policyholders written out of the Georgia office. The Claims Department excels in providing top quality claims administration to our insureds through an innovative claims philosophy, supported by claims adjusters averaging 28 years experience.
