Mark joined Deep South in 2005. He has over twenty years of experience in loss control, safety, and program implementation in diverse settings including government, non-profits, and corporations. In his present role with Deep South, Mark specializes in auto, general liability, property, trucking, and inland marine policies. His wealth of knowledge includes a premium auditing background that helps Mark assist clients to look at potential exposures and levels of risk. He has significant CSA/DOT expertise relative to the transportation segment which has proven to be of significant benefit to clients. Workers’ Compensation is yet another area where Mark has several years of experi­ence. His strong and diverse background enables him to develop strategies to help companies mitigate losses and the level of risk they face.

Mark received a Masters Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. He has earned the CRIS (Construction Risk Insurance Specialist) designation and is working to obtain his ARM (Associate Risk Manage­ment) designation. He is OSHA Certified in General Industry, Construction, Oil and Gas, and holds a Vale National Casualty Adjusting Certification. Mark’s background includes service as the Director of Communications with RIMS (Risk Insurance Management Society). He also served as the Chairman of COAD (Community Organizations Against Disaster). He is currently a Professional Member of ASSE (American Society of Safety Engineers).

When Mark is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter. Mark, his wife and two children are all first degree black belts in Tae-kwondo. Mark also enjoys gourmet cooking, basketball and volunteer work.
